One of the most amazing artists of the 19th century Rosa Bonheur‘s life is exquisitely detailed in Catherine Hewitt‘s biography “Art is a Tyrant.” My favorite Bonheur is The Horse Fair which is monumental in scale a whomping 8’x17′! Worth making the trip (or many.) She was and remains a rock star of the art world!
