It’s my happy place. This year my Open Water Swim was the Rehobeth, Delaware Boardwalk mile swim. The first date in August was delayed because of rip tides and waves resulting from Hurricane Erin. When it finally happened the day was lovely, the water very choppy and it seemed we were swimming against the current. So challenging and fun. I’m on the lookout for next year.

In June my bestie and I were in Norway for a cruise. We spent a week in Oslo and I took advantage of the floating saunas along the harbor. Sauna then dip into the cold water. Repeat. In the gorgeous Flåm fjord they had one which was so lovely. The saunas have glass walls so you can look out onto the landscape. Like a painting.

Finally waiting for the Maverick surf to arise. It didn’t but a few whale were spouting and spy hopping out there. This was with my big sis who lives on the Left Coast.
