I took a class called Treasures and Textiles taught by the most talented and gracious Hillary Waters Fayle. She specialized in botanical embroidery. I learned a blanket stitch and french knot. I am inspired to embroider on these beginning skills! The day was held in the basket room of Rachel “Bunny” Lambert Mellon. I am inspired to embroider on these beginning skills! Her Oak Spring garden is legendary. So is she. Hillary’s workshop was so worthy of the gorgeous day in a resplendent garden setting.
